Head of Development (Al-Shaheen) EX (UK525388) As a multi-disciplinary team leader, ensures a sound balance between discipline-based and integrated activities. Through proactive supervision, ensures that the full lifecycle of the field, from the identification of the opportunity to abandonment, is maximised. Monitors and guides the subsurface development activities of the designated oil field under Production Sharing Agreements (PSAs) with International Oil Companies (IOCâ€™s). Responsible and accountable for optimum development of the Asset hydrocarbon resource. Responsible for determining optimum production/injection balance and offtake level for the field. Works jointly with PSA companies in optimizing development plans. Organises and supervises internal reviews and studies to ensure that the exploitation of resources is carried out in a prudent and technically sound manner. Should have a high level of experience in field development and reservoir management with a broad spread of theoretical and practical experience. This should include significant experience in the application of fundamental petroleum engineering principles in oil field development, and preferably in geological modelling, reservoir simulation and operations. Essential to have an in-depth understanding of economics and risk analysis. Required to have superior communication and interpersonal skills and be able to articulate highly complex development plans clearly with conviction and authority. Vision and confidence to provide highly experienced and specialised subordinates with the guidance such that they can deliver superior quality work on schedule. BSc degree in Petroleum/Chemical Engineering essential, with MSc/PhD in a relevant discipline preferred. A comprehensive training in all Petroleum disciplines is essential; with at least 20 years experience in a broad range of Petroleum Engineering functions with a proven track record of leading a multi-disciplinary team is required, together with a minimum of 5 years experience in a lead or supervisory position.
