The Procurement & Logistics function within the Plant Business is currently looking to recruit a : INDIRECT PURCHASING TEAM LEADER (m/f) The Indirect Purchasing Team Leader is responsible for the know-how, the resources, infrastructure and tools for the purchasing within the business in order to execute the purchasing of services and components with the required quality, at lowest total cost and on time, as required by the projects.The Indirect Purchasing Team Leader supports the Purchasing Department Manager to establish and implement the long term supply chain management strategies and objectives in line with the Group initiatives, strategies and directives. More specifically, his/ her main activities will include :Making sure that ALSTOMÂ’s processes, work instructions and guidelines are followed within the department, Taking care of the establishment, safeguarding and development of the required know-how and know-why of the staff, Ensuring that the Indirect Sourcing Procedures are followed, Providing experience feedback from ongoing projects to internal customers such as Facilities Management and Engineering Department, Identifying cost reductions opportunities in cooperation with the staff and internal customers, Ensuring the groupÂ’s support for initiatives (ex: Facilities Management) and strategies, Creating and maintaining a group culture as a basis for successful and motivated teamwork, Carrying out the yearly appraisal of the purchasing team, Ensuring that the supplier assessments and ratings for non-key commodities are carried out, Ensuring appropriate risk, contract and claim management in purchasing, Managing the Purchasing portfolio of engineering services for the site, Implementing partnerships with suppliers, Managing a team of two people. Educational requirements/ Experience : Reporting to the Purchasing Department Manager, the successful candidate shall have a university degree or equivalent completed with a commercial education in Purchasing (MBA, Master degree, University degreeÂ…).He/ she should have a minimum of 5 years experience in procurement, facilities management or equivalent in the industry field. The ideal candidate shall have around 5 years experience in a similar position or as purchaser for indirect expenses. General skills : The successful candidate should have a product knowledge such as services, main processes, procurement and more specifically be familiar with engineering services, communication services, investments and facilities management. He/ she should be aware of procurement role in the organization and have competencies in project management, scheduling, quality management or supply chain processes. The ideal candidate should demonstrate not only leadership skills but also management skills and have teamwork and team building faculties. He/ she should be able to communicate at all levels and work in a multicultural environment. Among business thinking and acting skills, the future Indirect Purchasing Team Leader should have the aptitude for solving problems, conflicts and be able to provide systematic solutions. Customer orientation, risk management and negotiation skills are also required in this position. Strong communication skills are necessary as well as a fast understanding of internal needs.Fluent in English and French (written and spoken). Further languages are an advantage.
