Today more than 20 projects are under construction in key power markets worldwide, totalling over 15 000 MW.The Sales &amp; Tendering function within the Plant Business is currently looking to recruit a : TENDER MANAGER (m/f)For steam plants projects In cooperation with the Business Sales Manager and the Tender Engineering Manager the Tender Manager is responsible for the bid preparation and the support during contract negotiations. The Tender Manager will report to the Tendering Director and to the Business Sales Manager on a project specific basis. The Tender Manager also assists the Business Sales Manager in pre-acquisition activities : feasibility studies, costing/price for indicative/budgetary offers, competition analysis, document reviews…More specifically, his/her main activities will include : Tendering phase :Participating in defining the project winning strategy and ensuring its implementation, Launching the project, defining overall offer preparation schedule and ensuring compliance with procedures for the assigned projects, Being responsible for the tender preparation programme and the production of the bid documents, Leading and managing co-operation between other projects team members and being the interface to all internal partners, Implementing deviation strategy, Securing internal and external Consortium Agreements and documentation associated with nominated subcontractors, Managing the tender preparation budget, Defining target price/costs of the project of each partner, Defining commercial risks, assessing risk provisions and contingencies…, Controlling tender specification in commercial, legal, financial and fiscal aspects in conjunction with the respective departments, Ensuring that costs are translated into selling price and are in line with the offer, Participating in the Risk Review and ensure signoff of the Risk Log File (RLF), Managing production of technical/commercial responses to the customer, Ensuring appropriate provision of bonds and/or financial packages, Preparing the final bid price in cooperation with the Sales Manager. Negotiation phase and transfer to execution :Participating in the negotiations with customers, consortium members, Monitoring and updating bid price during contract negotiations and any updates of documentation required, Preparing the project transfer documentation with internal and external partners for handing over to execution. Experience requirements/ Technical competencies : The successful candidate shall have a knowledge of :the power plant systemsthe power plant/power generation market, the market of main components &amp; systems, the project management tools/methods, cost and price calculation, time scheduling, risk management, international project financing and financial project securities (hedging, export risk insurances…), international contracting/contract language for plant business (incoterms…), electronic data processing (MS Office), basics in planning/scheduling, English language, proficiency in speaking and writing. General skills : The successful candidate shall have commercial/negotiations skills and be customer-focus as well as performance orientated. In addition to an ability to make decisions and think strategically, he/she shall be able to set priorities, act according the targets and be constantly aware of realistic risks. Moreover, he/she should be able to motivate, support and promote staff members as well as forming and leading teams.He/she shall have a strong personality : energetic, persistent, open-minded, flexible, reliable, adaptable to other people and different situations.An ability to cope with conflicts and to deal with complex systems is essential.
